The Robert College Debate Society (RCDS) is one of Turkey’s leading high school debate teams, with a legacy of excellence in both national and international tournaments. Competing primarily in the World Schools and British Parliamentary debate formats, RCDS represents Robert College at prestigious events such as the World Schools Debating Championships (WSDC), Eurasian Schools Debating Championship (ESDC), and numerous other high-level competitions.

With a rigorous training program and a passionate community of debaters, RCDS has achieved remarkable success, producing some of the top-ranked teams, speakers, and novices in the nation. Our members consistently demonstrate critical thinking, eloquence, and collaboration, securing awards and recognition at every level.

​In addition to competition, RCDS is dedicated to fostering a love for debate beyond our school through Community Involvement Projects (CIPs), where we share our skills with younger students and underserved communities. Debate is not just a competition for us; it’s a tool for growth, connection, and making an impact.
